George A. Mooers III died suddenly on Saturday December 10, 2011 in Pawling, New York at the age of 31. Mr. Mooers was born Oct. 3, 1980 in Carmel, NY, son of George A. Mooers Jr. and Fran (Roccamo) DiStabile. He attended Dover Schools then graduated from Brewster High School in 1990. Mr. Mooers lived in the Brewster and Wingdale area for many years and worked as a computer Technician for Radio Shack in Pawling for the past five years. He did some construction and loved to cook. Mr. Mooers is survived by his mother Fran DiStabile , of Wingdale, his father George A. Mooers and step mother Kathleen of Knoxville, TN, his brothers John DiStabile of Wappinger Falls, NY, Michael DiStabile of Wingdale, NY, Shawn Driscoll of Patterson, NY, James Driscoll of San Francisco, CA, sisters Stephanie DiStabile of Dover Plains, NY, Kayla (Antowne) Boone of Oak Ridge, TN, Jennifer Williams (Bryson) of Oak Ridge, TN, Amy Mooers of Knoxville, TN, several nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, many, many cousins and friends and long time good friend Helen Federoff. He was predeceased by his Step Father John DiStabile. George did so many things for so many people and friends he will be sorely missed. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wed. Dec. 14, 2011, 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Putnam Lake. Internment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Putnam Valley. Calling hrs. are today Mon. Dec. 12, 4-8 pm and Tues. the 13th 4-8 pm at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South St., Patterson, NY 12563. In Lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the family to help with family expenses. Any excess donations will be forwarded to St. Mary’s Catholic School in Bronx NY.
