Obituary for Myrtle E. Steinbeck (Booth)
Steinbeck, Myrtle E., age 98, a resident of Danbury, CT, died Friday,
January 3, 2014 at home with her family by her side.
Mrs. Steinbeck was born on December 15, 1915 in Patterson, NY, to the late Norman and Eva (Lynn) Booth. She attended schools in Carmel, NY.
Myrtle married Raymond H. Steinbeck on May 18, 1940 in Ludingtonville, NY. Mr. Steinbeck died December 3, 1996.
Mrs. Steinbeck was a department manager for Genungs in Danbury, CT, for 32 years before retiring. Myrtle was a member of 2nd Kent Baptist Church and she enjoyed tending to her garden.
Mrs. Steinbeck is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, 11AM at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at Ballard Cemetery, Ludingtonville, NY. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Dwyer Funeral Home.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church.
