Paul Raymond Winsker, of Wingdale, NY, died Tuesday March 11, 2014 at his home. He was 70 years old.

Paul was born September 7, 1943 in Queens, NY, son to the late Herbert and Elizabeth (McGue) Winsker. He graduated from Brewster High School.

Mr. Winsker was a deputy sheriff in the Putnam County Sheriff office in Carmel, NY and also in the Manatee County Sheriff in Bradenton, FL for over 20 years before retiring.

Paul joined the US Navy in 1961. He served for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 1965. He was a member of the Brewster Fire House and also a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Winsker is survived by his four children; Paul Raymond Winsker, Jr. of Freeland, MD, Michael Gerald Winsker and his wife Annie of Port St. Lucie, FL, Amanda Rae Dorn and her husband George of Dover Plains, NY and Timothy James Winsker of Hawthorne, FL, his brother John Winsker and his wife Nelly of Pompano Beach, FL and his sister Elizabeth Griffin and her husband Douglas of Ft. Myers, FL and 6 grandchildren, Riley, Mackenzie, Aaron, Leah, Ryan and Landon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 15, 2014 from 2pm-5pm at Dwyer Funeral Home, Patterson, NY. Interment will be private. Brewster Fire Department will perform a funeral service at 4:00pm on Saturday.

Contributions in Mr. Winsker memory may be made to the Brewster Fire Department.

He will be greatly missed.
