Barrett, Kenneth L., Jr., age 73, of Wingdale, NY, formerly of Holmes, NY, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Carmel, NY.

Mr. Barrett was born on July 5, 1940 in Carmel, NY to Kenneth and Amelia (Reinholz) Barrett. He attended schools in Carmel, NY.

Mr. Barrett married Dolores Miller on February 9, 1964 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Carmel, NY. Mrs. Barrett died in May 26, 2007.

Mr. Barrett worked for Metro North in Brewster, NY for many years as a truck driver, machine operator, coach cleaner and laborer.


Mr. Barrett was an all round great outdoorsman. Whether it be hunting, camping, or gardening he was at his best. An avid Yankees and NASCAR fan, Mr. Barrett enjoyed a long quiet walk as well. His family came first and he enjoyed having them near.

Mr. Barrett is survived by two children, Kenneth J. Barrett of Wingdale, NY and Kelly Ann and Leroy Campbell of Dover Plains, NY; two sisters, Victoria Gallagher of Patterson, NY and Marie Mueller of Melbourne, FL; four grandchildren, Joseph, Justin Kenny and Kayla.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 10:00AM at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson. Interment to follow at Halstead & Union Cemetery, Kent Cliffs, NY. Friends may call at the Dwyer Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8PM. WWW.DWYERFUNERALHOME.COM
