Catherine “Kay” Kenworthy, age 77, of Patterson, NY, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.

Mrs. Kenworthy was born on June 2, 1938 in Dobbs Ferry, New York to Angelo and Grace (Merlino) Paino.

On April 12, 1958 she married Wesley M. Kenworthy II at Our Lady of Pompeii in Dobbs Ferry, NY. He predeceased her in 1986.

Catherine worked for the Carmel Central School District for 37 years, starting as a monitor in the lunch room and working her way up to a confidential Secretary of the Superintendent of Business.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Son’s of Italy. She enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren, music, theater, traveling, sending cards and notes to friends and family, watching her “favorite T.V. shows” and especially gardening.

Mrs. Kenworthy is survived by her three children; Wesley M. Kenworthy III (Carolyn), Brian P. Kenworthy (Jim Costello) and Cynthia Kenworthy, 3 grandsons; Wesley M. Kenworthy IV, Justin M. Kenworthy and Alexander J. Kenworthy, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Bart, Peter, Angelo Jr and Grace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 3, 2016 12:30 pm at St. John’s Church, Pawling, NY. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY on Tuesday prior to the mass from 10am-12pm.

She lived her life according to her favorite quote “I did it my way.”
