Life Story for Albert M. "Huckle" Hudson

Albert ‘Huckle’ Hudson, a lifelong resident of Patterson, NY, died Thursday May 12, 2016 at Northern Westchester Hospital. He was 73 years old.

Mr. Hudson was born on June 20, 1942 in Danbury, CT, son of the late Milton and Ethel (Pennell) Hudson. He attended Carmel Central School’s. Al married the love of his life Lillian Anderson on January 30, 1965 in Patterson, NY.

Huckle was a heavy equipment operator for the Putnam County Highway Department for 38 years before retiring in 1997. Prior to working with the highway department he worked for Gilbert Wadle in construction.

Mr. Hudson was a member of the Patterson Sportman club, a 55 year member of the Patterson Fire Department and a board member of the Maple Avenue Cemetery Association. He was an avid hunter and Nascar fan. Huckle loved his tractors and his huge garden. A tradition that he loved was his pancakes on Sunday morning and his daily car rides in the afternoon.

Albert his survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lillian; his daughter Christina L. Hudson (Dan), his 2 brother-in-law’s and 2 sister-in-law’s, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and his beloved dogs Sarabelle and Daisy.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11AM at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson. Interment will follow at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Patterson, NY. Friends may call at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, on Sunday May 15, 2016 from 4pm-8pm
