Obituary for David Michael "Dave" Pierro

David Michael Pierro, age 61, a 25 year resident of Patterson, NY, formerly of Port Chester, NY, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Valhalla, NY.

David was born on July 27, 1955 in Port Chester, NY to Dominic Pierro and the late Jennie (Vitti) Pierro. He was a 1973 graduate of Port Chester High School and attended Westchester Community College and the NY Police Academy.

On September 24, 1983 David married the love of his life Dawn DeMarco at Resurrection Church in Rye, NY.

David was a police Officer with the Port Chester Police Department for 19 years before retiring. He then formed Trident Investigations where he worked as a private investigator. He later became a Broker with Houlihan Lawrence in Brewster, NY.

Through the years, David was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the National Ski Patrol, the Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department and Knights of Columbus of Port Chester. He was also a member of the Patterson Planning Board and the Patterson Republican Committee. Dave enjoyed Riding his motorcycle and spending time in his garden. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and Yankees fan. Above all, Dave was a family man at heart, a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Besides his wife Dawn of 33 years, Dave is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Fisher (Patrick) of Carmel, NY and Alene Pierro of Patterson, NY; two grandchildren, Ellis and Eden; his father Dominic Pierro (Kay) of Florida; 3 brothers, Donald Pierro, Christopher Pierro and Dominic Pierro Jr. (Maria) and 4 sisters, Patricia Carmody (Thom), Gina Pierro, Anita Killea (John) and Christina Pierro. Also several nieces, nephews and God Children. Dave was predeceased by his sister Michele Bocchino in 2016 and his mother Jennie Pierro in 1996.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 1:00pm at the Patterson Community Church, Rte. 311, Patterson. A private cremation will follow. Friends may call on Saturday from 4 to 8pm at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY. www.dwyerfuneralhome.com
