Ronald A. Gallagher, of Wingdale, NY died at Danbury Hospital Center on April 10, 2018. He was 69 years old.
Born on August 30, 1948 in Brewster, NY son of the late Charles and Arlene (Sniffen) Gallagher. Ronald attended the Brewster School District. On May 9, 1968 he married the love of his life Patricia Smith in Carmel, NY.
Mr. Gallagher worked as a custodian at the Dover Union Free School District for 12 years before retiring in 1999. Following his retirement, he worked as a processor at the 10-mile River Preserve and the Pawling Nature Preserve. Ronald enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his greatest passion in life was his family.
Ronald is not only survived by his loving wife 49 years, Patricia, but also his children; Ronald A. Gallagher (Sissy) of Wingdale, NY, Christine Cameron (Joe) of Wingdale, NY, David Gallagher (Mike Williams) of Springhill, TN, Kathleen Gallagher (Wayne) of Wingdale, NY, his 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his siblings; Helen Hyatt, Sandra Van Keuren, Jeannie McTighe, Lena Gallagher, Richard Gallagher, Kenny Gallagher, Doug Gallagher, Charlie Gallagher, Chippy Gallagher, Oscar Gallagher and Irving Gallagher. He was predeceased by his sister Lillian Acocella and his brother Clarence ‘Butch’ Gallagher.
Friends and family may call the Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY on Saturday April 14, 2018 from 3pm-6pm. Interment will be private.
