Catherine Carol Flood, age 82, a 58-year resident of Pawling, NY, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel, NY.

Born on December 27, 1935 in Mt. Kisco, NY to Raymond and Catherine (Conklin) Mayes. Catherine attended Carmel Schools.

Catherine married the love of her life William Ernest Flood on July 31, 1953 at St. James ‘The Apostle’ Roman Catholic Church in Carmel, NY. William predeceased his wife on July 17, 1992.

Mrs. Flood enjoyed reading, cooking, knitting and needlework. She was a major movie buff. Catherine’s family was her pride and joy.

Mrs. Flood is survived by her children; William E. Flood (Kathleen) of Clinton Corners, NY, John J. Flood (Alyce) of Queensbury, NY, James D. Flood of Gulfport, MS, Patrick Flood of Palatka, FL and Robert W. Flood of Holmes, NY, her 5 grandchildren; Margaret, James, John, Sandra and Lynnae, her 6 great grandchildren; Ofelia, Lenore, Llayne, Cory, James and Miles and her siblings; Viola Sniffen of Dover Plains, NY, Deborah Mayes of Pawling, NY and Nancy Nelson of Chester, PA. She was predeceased by her son Thomas E. Flood in 1977.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 10 am at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson. Interment will immediately follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Friends may call at the Dwyer Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 4-8pm.
