Patricia Ann Hofmann, of Poughquag, NY, formerly of Dover Plains, NY, died peacefully at Vassar Brothers Hospital on Wednesday February 13, 2019. She was 79 years old.
Born on June 3, 1939 in Plattsburgh, NY. Pat graduated from high school and shortly after moved to Holmes, NY and later Dover Plains, NY. She married the loved of her life Raymond and together the raised over 43 foster children. Raymond predeceased his wife in 2013.
Pat was a member of the Pawling Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Her greatest passion in life were her grandchildren; especially Nevaeh and Jonathan Ray.
Patricia is survived by her loving children; Dennis Hofmann, Leroy Campbell (Kelly), Paula Cerqueira, Anthony ‘Tony’ Hofmann, Tayese Hofmann and Jason Martin, Walter Grey, her 11 grandchildren; Nevaeh, Jonathan Ray, Justin, Joseph, Kayla, Janeesa, Janae, Christopher, Christina, Jaqueline and Michael. Also her dear friends Colleen Conn and Hollis ‘Butch’ Baker. She was predeceased by two sons; Jonathan and Christopher and her sister Dorothy.
A private cremation will take place for Patricia at the convenience of the family. Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street in Patterson, NY will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
Pat and Huffy reunited again! She will be greatly missed.
