Kathleen was a special lady. She always seemed happy & had a big hello for everyone. It is so very sad she had to leave us so young & so suddenly. Last time I saw her was the Put Lake reunion, year before last. Nothing about her personality had changed. Needless to say she was loved & will be missed. My prayers are with her & all of her loved ones. May God bless her & give her peace with her family members who were waiting for her in heaven.

I'm so sad to hear tha Kathleen passed , I had alot of laughs with Her and my sister Deana, watching them play a mean game if softball. Everybody loved to have her on the team, she was a very competitive And a great athlete, too bad, too young Saying a prayer for you Kathleen and for your family too 😢

Story shared: When I first met Katie.....

she was called Kathleen and I was about 7. She lived in Put Lake and we visited my grandmother up there nearly every weekend. When I was about 9, I was terrified of Kathleen. She down right scared me. My family would go down to the lake from my grandmother's and if she was there or came while I was there, I knew I was in for a tough time. She was rough back then. Thinking back on it now, she needed to be. It wasn't until we were older and after I hadn't seen her for awhile that I wasn't intimidated. I remember I said, "hi Kathleen" with outstretched arms and after our hug she said, "It's Katie now Jackie. I changed it awhile ago. How ya been?"

I'm sorry that she is gone. She has been a part of my life and a part of our mutual friends' lives for a long time. It's sad. I will miss her.
