Bitetto, Emily, age 93, of Patterson, NY, formerly of the Bronx, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill, NY.

Mrs. Bitetto was born in Gibraltar on December 22, 1918 to Jesse and Prosperina (Fernandez) Sterrett. She graduated from schools in the Bronx.

On June 29, 1959 Emily married Frank J. Bitetto in New York City. Mr. Bitetto died in 1997.
Emily was first married to John Lincoln Knight who died in 1953.

Mrs. Bitetto was the souvenir manager of Gate #4 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx for many years.
She was a life member of the Columbites of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Boyd Council in the Bronx.

Mrs. Bitetto is survived by her son John F. Knight of Patterson, NY. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Sharon Lynn Knight Vivone who died in 1980 and five brothers and two sisters; Joseph, Jesse, Frederick, Robert and Edward Sterrett and Marylou DiLecce and Tessie Silver.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2012 10am at St. James ‘The Apostle’ Church in Carmel, NY. Interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Friends may call at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY 12563, on Sunday from 2-6pm.
