Flossie C. Ballard of Pawling, New York, died Wednesday October 24, 2012 in Poughkeepsie, New York, at the age of 91.
Flossie was born January 14, 1921 in East Fishkill, New York, daughter of the late Byron and Ophelia (Ridgeway) Ballard. She graduated from the New York Institute for The Education Of The Blind. Flossie lived in Pecksville most all her life before moving to Pawling. From 1946 to 1962 she operate the Ballard’s Handy Store in Pecksville, was a member of the Pawling United Methodist Church and worked as a secretary for the Church for eighteen years before retiring in 1992.
Flossie is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her nine siblings.
A wake will be held on Saturday October 27, 2012 at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street in Patterson from 12 PM to 1 PM. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1pm. Internment will follow in Maple Ave. Cemetery in Patterson, NY.
