I first met Joan at school events for Jake and Alex. It made me smile when I would see her on the pick-up line waiting for her beautiful grandkids. I know Sandy, Laurie, and all the grandchildren brought her so much joy. I lost my own mom 16 years ago and was happy for Sandy that she had her mom in her life as the kids grew up. I hope the thought of them being united now brings some consolation to the family. You're all in our thoughts and prayers.
